Case Study - Physical Security - School I.T Suite

Remit

While on site installing Fire and Security Systems to a school’s temporary portable building complex, a site break-in and act of vandalism raised concerns over the security of the new I.T. Suite.

Action

ARC Fire Safety installed CD38 High Security Shutters to all windows and doors to the I.T. Suite. The shutters were electrically operated using momentary switches, meaning all shutters could be raised or lowered in less than five minutes. The shutters were also colour matched to the building.

Result

Despite a number of incidents following the installation, the I.T. Suite was never broken into. The client was delighted that this vulnerable area was never compromised, and no school time was lost.
