Case Study - Radio Fire Alarm - Bannister House Hotel
Remit
Bannister House Hotel owner Alain Ridley had completely redecorated the hotel and following a fire inspection was advised to update and extend the existing fire system. Alain's concern was the disruption to the new decor that a fire alarm installation would make.
Action
ARC Fire Safety was tasked to design a system to cover
the entire premises while minimising disruption and unsightly wiring
or containment.
A new Zerio radio fire system was designed that fully complied
with B.S.5839, with coverage to all bedrooms and common areas. All
devices
were completely wire free, and the system was installed, programmed
and commissioned within three days. Not one piece of wiring or trunking
was needed, and this resulted in a quick, efficient and damage free
installation, which for a hotel is very important.
Result
The client was delighted that the system was installed so quickly and with minimal disruption to their working procedures. The real bonus was not having wires or trunking running across the walls and ceilings, detracting from the recent redecoration work.
